Well, sure. No argument there. My concern relates to the “being assaulted” part. If one of the cops was in front of the car the instant the bullet was fired, then it was a good shoot. It doesn’t matter which cop fired the shot.

But if the cop who had been struck by the car had already moved off to the side, then he was no longer in danger. And so it was a bad shoot.

As I noted earlier, I can’t tell from the video which of the two possibilities it was.
