She was trying to get away from the cop
Not run him down
Watch the video
He could have moved aside and gotten her license number
(He could have moved aside and gotten her license number)
Why do that?
> Watch the video. <
I did. Either something is missing from that video or I’m getting older. I can’t tell where the cop who fired the shot was standing when he shot the driver.
If he was standing in front of the car, it’s self-defense.
If he was standing off to the side, it’s murder.
Side note: There were two cops on-scene. In the video, one cop is well on the side of car. Was he the one who fired the shot? Or was he the other cop?
And she could have chosen not to steal!
I know, I know, “she was only shoplifting.”
Think along the same lines as Rudy Giullani’s broken windows scenario.
This is how these $950.00 thefts began.
It starts by ignoring or not arresting for the little things.
That’s twice. A policeman tells you to get out of the car, points a gun at you when you don’t obey and you try to run him down. The policeman is supposed gto get out of your way??
That is not the way it works nor should it me. Save your pity for people who don’t flaunt the law.
If she was willing to drive at a policeman she needed to be stopped. It was her choice to die.
she thought she was entitled to do as she pleased.
she was wrong thinking and acting.
It was her own doing that started the whole situation of the store calling police.
She could have done the right thing and talked with police instead of saying things to escalate the situation.
IMO she was trying to hide something and it cost her big.
