Bodycam footage shows moments before pregnant woman's fatal shooting by Ohio police officer

This sort of $hit will never end in a society chocked full of individuals who cannot, primarily as a result of upbringing, submit to authority. This incident was caused by a willful decision to elevate a controlled situation into a mess.

Maybe the cops were wrong; maybe they were right. But the deceased was blatantly stupid. Comply with LOE instructions, and as mentioned in an earlier post, possibly sue the hell out the jurisdiction later- if warranted.

I’m wrong? The manual is displayed and the maneuver explained starting at time stamp 2:17.

The video opens with retired Sheriff Russ Martin introducing himself and making clear he will not be a making a judgement whether the officer was justified in his actions. He proceeds to narrate the events that occurred that fateful day.

The footage shows an officer at the driver’s side window telling Young she has been accused of stealing and repeatedly requesting that she get out of the vehicle. A second officer is standing in front of the car with his gun drawn. Young, however, refuses to obey the officer’s commands. She can also be heard shouting “What? Are you going to shoot me?”
The woman then puts the car in gear and slams the accelerator. The police officer directly in front of the vehicle is hit and dragged for several feet.

Fearing for his personal safety, the cop fires a single shot through the windshield in self-defense. The car moves approximately 50 additional feet according to Fox News before stopping in front of the Kroger.

The two officers break into the vehicle, retrieve a mortally wounded Young, and begin to render medical assistance. Fox News notes an emergency room doctor on scene also helped.

That is not possible. The 6 minute video on Gateway pundit is the one released by the police with both officers body cam videos.
That video also displays the handbook description of the maneuver used and why it is standard proceedure. Furthermore if the officer had shot through the window from the side rather than from in front as he was struck the suspect would not have been hit. She turned the wheel as she excelerated and he was struck and flung toward the left.

Cops dealing with vehicles need an AR-12 with a drum magazine.

If done right, it would be like a cartoon where the woman is left unscratched sitting in a seat holding a steering wheel while all the glass, the doors, the body panels, trunk lid, and tires are littered all over the roadway.

Whether 12 gauge tear gas rounds in the AR-12 or a separate tear gas gun, cops need more tools to use on such a perp.

A heavy magnet attached to a phosphorous grenade in the middle of the hood with the pin on a lanyard would also work. If she drives away, the engine quickly ends up as a melted, flaming wreck.

The active self protection channel on youtube currently has a video of a cop pulling over a guy and getting blown away. It’s the saddest thing I’ve ever seen and I so wish I hadn’t of watched it. Young married guy with kids. Whatever those cops are making, it’s not enough.
