I had mentioned turning off the phone in a previous thread when this “test” was discussed. I’m thinking that I’ll just leave it on - I want to see what the test is really about. Not going to respond to it. I’ll just turn the phone off after the “alert” if it requires a response on my part. I’m curious about it, but I won’t give the government the satisfaction of response.
It will be interesting - my TV is relatively smart, perhaps smarter than I am, but I’d also like to see if this alert thing does anything to turn the device on, which would be a major invasion. Of course, if the TV is unplugged, then it won’t come on, and probably won’t anyway. But I want to see just how intrusive the government intends to be.
So, I’ll leave my devices as is, and will not respond to any of dot-gov’s incursions into my privacy.
You'll give them what they want if you leave it on. That's the point.
Q mentioned using the Emergency Broadcast System to communicate with citizens outside the fake news narrative. For that reason, I’m leaving mine on and plan on paying attention.
