What, does she think she’s a doctor now?

Any procedure done by doctors, except psychologists, is at risk of infection. And anything short of an STD should be a possibility.

I am interested to know what the doctor had in mind with not better investigating the pain complaint. But that’s the quality of doctor selected by the patient. Good doctors normally don’t pass off a report of pain. And as a nurse, she should have known better.

I wonder if she is taking treatments for osteoporosis.

People taking osteoporosis drugs have a slight risk of developing a serious infection of the jawbone, called osteonecrosis. Because of this risk, persons about to be given osteoporosis drugs have to be screened and cleared by a dentist. Even with the screening, the need for dental work can arise during osteoporosis treatment, meaning there is always a risk of osteonecrosis.

her doctor/dentist is an A-hole and completely negligent

7 years ago, I had an infection that went on for 3 months. I was taking antibiotics but, the pain was debilitating.

The entire right side of my head was in pain, felt like there was a fish hook in my throat, etc.

I finally went to a DDS and informed him I didn’t care about dying from sepsis if the tooth were pulled.

I was already dying and would pull it myself if someone didn’t do it for me.

I was warned what would happen if I pulled it and told him I didn’t care

He pulled it and I felt great in one day.

I had to ask my dentist for a prescription for antibiotics. I knew I needed them, but he would have let me leave the office without even suggesting it. My pain was gone in about a day.

I have a wonderful dentist. A 50 year old crown is starting to give me trouble with some swelling and sensitivity. I called the dentist and asked for an antibiotic in preparation for my dental visit next week. He called it in right away. If you live in the Tulsa area, and need a good dentist, see Dr.s Lowe, Do, or Nguyen. Also, their crowns are a fourth of what everyone else charges.
