It’s not just too much salt people consume, but they consume too little Potassium. Potassium is the enemy of Sodium (salt) and helps expel Sodium from the body. If you are taking too much salt, eat bananas to compensate. Also drink plenty of water to help flush the salt out. The less water you drink the more water your body will retain.

No, bananas are full of sugar and the potassium absorbsion is negligible. Take a potassium supplement with food. That’s what I do per my doctors advice.
