A nine-week vacation? Wow. When I was working, I’d take a one-week vacation somewhere every year. And a two-week vacation now and then. But those two-weekers always made me feel a little bit guilty. Like I should have saved the money, and sat on my back porch instead.
I don’t know why. Maybe it was my lower middle-class background. Don’t splurge. Save.
Having a remote job, allows me to be a “digital nomad”, so I went to Europe for 6 weeks, working most days.
But what’s cool is due to time differences, I could do all my tourist stuff in the morning and early afternoon, work a few hours, and then go to dinner, during my “lunch” hour, and wrap up work right around midnight.
I don’t think I took a two week vacation in my 55 years of working.
