One precinct and it’s not even Detroit or Flint
Coincidentally, Trump almost beat The Tater in Muskegon County in 2020:
Trump Cankles total 2016 pres 46.26% 36,127 47.77% 37,304 78,088 James Stabencow 2018 us senate 44.8% 30,831 52.3% 35,957 66,788 Trump The Tater 2020 pres 48.82% 45,133 49.37% 45,643 92,444 James Peters 2020 us senate 49.0% 44,637 48.5% 44,192 88,829
Muskegon has traditionally been a Democrat city; there used to be some thriving factories there, such as Teledyne Continental Motors, Howmet, S. D. Warren Paper, Brunswick bowling alley equipment, to name some. The place now looks like a bomb hit it; the downtown area on Western Avenue that I fondly remember from the 1960s growing up 28 miles away in Fremont is all gone.
It doesn’t surprise me that the “Rats would cheat there. Muskegon also got drawn into the same congressional district as Grand Rapids (the first time that has happened in my lifetime), and the ‘Rat (Hillary Scholten) won a close election against a Trump endorsee; who knows how much fraud contributed to that outcome.
