A teachers’ union can suggest all it wants. And it can pass as many resolutions as it wants. But they have zero power over the curriculum. None at all. School boards have that power. We need to focus on them.
Don’t get me wrong. I am quite familiar with the AFT. They are corrupt. And they are quite Stalinist. Oh, the stories I could tell you! But here’s the thing. A teachers’ union has never once struck over curricula. Let them huff and puff.
Focus on getting the right people on your local school board.
School boards are very important. We need to concentrate on getting people on our side on school boards.
