FIFA suspends Rubiales from football after unsolicited kiss

FIFA has provisionally suspended Luis Rubiales, the president of the Spanish football federation (RFEF), from all football-related activities for 90 days following his unsolicited kiss of Jenni Hermoso after the Women's World Cup final.

Despite growing pressure throughout the week, including FIFA opening disciplinary proceedings Thursday, Rubiales refused to resign Friday, saying the kiss was "mutual and with consent."

Pachuca forward Hermoso replied in a statement later in the day, disputing Rubiales' version of events and saying she "felt vulnerable and the victim of aggression, an impulsive, sexist act which was out of place and with no consent on my behalf."

When we were in Italy a street vendor was getting very pushy and invading my personal space. I told him “no, thank you” several times, I wasn’t interested in what he was selling, moved on to the next stand, and he followed me, trying to pull me back.

When my husband, who was browsing nearby, saw this guy following me and reaching for my arm, he stormed over, moved me behind him, puffed up his chest, and unleashed a torrent of Italian that had this man back up several frightened paces.

“What did you say?” I asked him.

“I told him we were going to lunch,” he replied brusquely and stayed by my side the rest of the day.

He later cautioned me that if I appear to be a foreigner, some people will try to take advantage of it, knowing you won’t stay in the country to press charges and they can get away with it.

This Rubailes probably thought he could get away with it, too.

He was wrong.

Her first thought after winning the World Cup (granted, the Womens World Cup, but still). More proof you just cannot interact with these angry lesbians in any way or form. (He should've known better.)

Normal people are exuberant and celebratory in such circumstances. Not the angry dykes.
