With the death of the Wagner leader in Russia, the first amphibious Ukrainian landing operation in Crimea and the destruction of Russian air defense systems such as the S-400, S-300 in southern Ukraine and the peninsula, the fate of the war has changed.

The Ukrainian army is now taking drastic steps for freedom on the battlefield. Kiev plans to destroy Russian positions in different sectors of the front by dividing the limited Russian resources.

Under this plan, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are gathering forces for a possible offensive along the Marfopil-Dorozhnianka line in the Zaporizhia region. Kiev is also making unbelievable advances in the Donetsk region.

In today’s agenda, one of the most prominent frontline units of the Ukrainian troops gathering strength is a surprise contingent of Ukrainian troops, which has been cutting through the settlements in and around Zaporizhia with western battle tanks.

The Ukrainian army, which has worked wonders in the triangle of Zaporizhia, Melitopol and Tokmak, made its first breakthrough today with the deployment of a special military unit using Western combat vehicles near Robotyne.

The 82nd Assault Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, consisting of two thousand soldiers equipped with British Challenger tanks and Marder and Stryker infantry fighting vehicles, landed near Rabotyne, south of Zaporizhzhia region.

This formidable Ukrainian military unit has 90 US Stryker combat vehicles, 40 German-made Marder infantry fighting vehicles, 24 US-made M113 infantry carriers and 14 Challenger tanks from the UK.

According to NATO data, the 82nd battalion alone has half of Ukraine’s best infantry armored vehicles from NATO allies. It is also the only military unit in Ukraine to use Marder and Strkyer vehicles.

Other Ukrainian military units are much less well equipped, often relying on Soviet-era equipment and crowdfunded equipment, while the 82nd Brigade and the 46th Brigade are among the last major formations that the Ukrainian Armed Forces command has in reserve.

In other words, the Ukrainians are putting up their last but biggest and most powerful trump card for a decisive victory.

Already, with the Ukrainian army’s deployment of this special unit, clear victory data has begun to come in.

In line with Kiev’s offensive plans, the 82nd Brigade’s introduction of western combat vehicles has resulted in a 100-kilometer breach of the Russian defense line in and near Zaporizhia. By finally sending these formations into battle, the Ukrainians significantly increased their firepower along one of the main axes of the counteroffensive.

In particular, the 50-mile axis stretching from Russian-occupied Robotyne to occupied Melitopol, just north of the Black Sea coast, has been turned into a network of attacks on Kiev by the successful offensive operations of the 82nd Brigade.

This brigade’s first move this week was with Stryker combat vehicles. Footage of a US-supplied Stryker combat vehicle in action in Ukraine surfaced on social media the other day. The video appeared to show a Russian Lancet munition maneuvering a Stryker.

The Strykers were part of Ukraine’s powerhouse 82nd Air Assault Brigade, which was ordered into battle this week to help strengthen the counter-offensive in the southern Zaporizhzhia Region. So these images showed that Strykers are now on the move in Ukraine, and that advanced US armor was deployed for the first time in recent days in the war against Putin’s invasion.

Alongside the arrival of the Strykers on Ukrainian battlefields, the 71-ton, four-crew Challenger tanks, reinforced with coping cages - turret-mounted cages to protect the vehicles from drone attacks - were also observed on the move for the first time.

Russia appeared to be shaken to its core near Robotyne by the arrival of the battalion using western combat vehicles.

This settlement is now under Ukrainian control. In Mala Tokmachka, near Robotyne, Russian troops still appear to be holding out. However, Ukrainian forces have captured positions on parts of the Russian defensive front after intensive attacks on the Robotyno-Verbove line 21 km southeast of Orikhiv.

Under heavy fire from the 82nd Brigade and other Ukrainian units, part of the Russian defense south of Mala Tokmachka was broken.

Meanwhile, in Verbove, east of Robotyne, the Russian army’s 100th separate reconnaissance battalion and 417th separate reconnaissance battalion continue to abandon some positions there.

PRO-KREMLIN blogger Rybar reported that the battalion is having no problem removing Russian units from some positions in the nearby village of Verbove. It was the 82nd Brigade that was a major factor in the Russian flight from Verbove and nearby towns.

The one near Mother Ukraine Monument: How a woman from Kyiv saved 16-metre flag brought from Kramatorsk
Ukrainska Pravda

The soldier’s mother, Nina Kostiumynska, from Kyiv, repaired a large Ukrainian flag at her home, which travelled 4,000 kilometres from Kramatorsk and was installed near the Mother Ukraine Monument in Kyiv on 23 August.

The story of the woman who repaired the flag was told by her son, Dmytro Kostiumynskyi, to Ukrainska Pravda. Zhyttia.

The man is currently serving in the army in the east. His mother, Nina Ivanivna, came to Kyiv from Crimea at the age of 15.

For more than 40 years, Nina Ivanivna has been teaching tailoring and sewing at the capital’s school in Nyvky. When the war began, the woman stayed in the capital even when the Russians approached the city.

Nina Kostiumynska repaired a large Ukrainian flag at home

For a year and a half, she has been helping the local military enlistment offices by sewing flags for fallen soldiers, restoring clothes for the military, etc.

On the eve of Flag Day, the military approached the defender’s brother Oleksandr and said that the large flag with the signatures of soldiers, medics and volunteers, which had been brought to the capital and was already being carried to the installation, was torn.

The flag, measuring 16x23.5 metres and weighing approximately 45 kg, had to be repaired urgently, but everyone refused.

“My brother asked my mother for help; she agreed and repaired the flag herself. My niece signed it, and it was sent to be mounted on the flagpole. That’s how our family’s signature appeared on the flag,” says Dmytro.

“My niece signed it, and it was sent to be mounted on the mast”

The soldier says that it is very important for him that the symbolic flag has gotten to his mother.

“At the beginning of the video, they say that this flag travelled all over Ukraine. It was in Kramatorsk. I am now a little further away. The flag was here, and at the last stage, it ended up at my house. It is very symbolic. I pay tribute to my mother, who joined this large-scale and secret process,” says Dmytro Kostiumynskyi.

A blue and yellow flag that traveled 4.5 thousand kilometers of the front line from Chernihiv to Odessa. Almost 2 thousand signatures of our defenders on the flag cloth. Hundreds of meetings, conversations and memories of military personnel and volunteers – about Ukraine, about the war, about relatives, about love. About our Ukrainian flag. ***

“The flag was here, and at the last stage, it ended up at my house”

Dmytro recalls that when he went to war, his mother “did not ask him unnecessary questions and understood everything”.

“She hugged me and said: Son, I understand everything; this is how it should be. This is what keeps me here. My mother is a strong warrior,” says the soldier.

BACKGROUND:

As the Office of the President reported, the flag of Ukraine from Kramatorsk was raised next to the Mother Ukraine monument in Kyiv on National Ukrainian Flag Day. Before that, he travelled more than 4,000 km, including along the entire front line.

The flag was signed by almost 2,000 Ukrainians: military personnel, their relatives, volunteers, doctors, etc.

After the holidays, the flag should be handed over to the museum.

Kiev is also making unbelievable advances in the Donetsk region.

Not true, maps have not changed there in any way since the 16th.

Whole post can be discounted for that reason.
