Former Navy pilot and Americans for Safe Aerospace founder Ryan Graves called out Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie for laughing off questions about UFOs on Wednesday.
"I get the UFO question?" Christie said at the first Republican primary debate, laughing when asked about what he would do in the White House if he had authority over what the Pentagon now calls unidentified aerial phenomena, or UAPs.
"I think it's horrible that just because I’m from New Jersey, you asked me about unidentified flying objects and Martians," Christie said to laughter. "We're different, but we're not that different."
[...]
Christie then pivoted to speaking about the importance of truth-telling in the White House. "The job of the President of the United States is to level with the American people about everything," he said. "The job of the President of the United States is to stand for truth," adding that threats to children's education were more significant than UFOs.
Graves fired back at Christie over his comments in a statement to Fox News Digital Thursday.
"When is laughter ever an acceptable response to a national security question?" Graves wrote, referencing Christie's flippant response to the question.
"Advanced UAP present a clear and present national security problem, so I invite Gov. Christie and any presidential candidate to meet with Navy pilots who have witnessed advanced UAP that exceed our tactical jets," Graves added. "Americans deserve answers and transparency, not jokes about aliens that perpetuate stigma and suppresses reporting."

Hey how about the U.S. Navy first admit that it accidentally shot down TWA Flight 800 on July 17, 1996, then the FBI admit that it dutifully covered that inconvenient fact up for the benefit of then-President and POTUS candidate Bill Clinton, and maybe THEN we get to start talking about the fun stuff?
Like Christie said, like RFK Jr. is saying—tell the truth. Once FedGov starts doing that, it’ll be like an avalanche of revelation that rebalances the relationship between the U.S. citizen and his government (hopefully at all levels).
I agree with Graves. If seasoned pilots see things that are not explainable, I will listen and respect their feedback. Woe to those who don’t. Christie is a loser who disparaged our military and pilots. Not fit to be Commander in Chief.

Kamala Harris
LOL. Touché.
“Navy pilots are complaining that DAILY they are encountering UFOs (unidentified craft) in secured training areas off the east and west coasts and in many cases have had to stand down to prevent collisions.”
Really? I doubt this.
Proof exists nowhere—even among those who claim the knowledge.
We have even had FR posters upload video game videos as evidence of UFOs. Folks—video games ARE FAKE.
That's assuming they are at the same level in evolution and technology as we are.
Given how old the universe is, it's reasonable to believe that other civilizations out there could very well be thousands of years more advanced than us and have developed technology that allows them to visit anywhere in the universe they choose.
Nefarious is worth watching. It is a tutorial about demons, malice, evil, and the blindness and stupidity of the children of the Enlightenment
Yep. Watched it a couple of weeks ago. Excellent!
Nobody would waste their time briefing Christie.
When he says he knows nothing I absolutely believe him.
;-)
“Graves added. “Americans deserve answers and transparency, not jokes about aliens that perpetuate stigma and suppresses reporting”
Americans have put up with the lies for decades—with no negative consequences for the liars.
The Deep State won’t stop until somebody goes to prison.
That is the response of "Professional Politicians" (especially those who walk arm in arm with Baraq 0bama) who lack the knowledge or intellect to provide a real answer or solution.
LOL. Dat's the troof!;-)
Christie’s comment about “Martians” was particularly slimy.
Someone could have called out Trump has been spotted in the studio and Captain Chris Ahab would have gone hunting and never participated in the debate period.
Have you been paying attention lately? (The last 2 years)
I agree. And that is only the latest reason he is not fit for the position. His RINO bonafides are well established.
Its hard to take a snap of an object moving at several thousand MPH, harder still to take a clear image of that fast mover, and impossible to take a clear image of an object which has a ‘plasma field’ surrounding it.
The first is we wage almost constant warfare on ourselves and we posses nuclear weapons and have used them offensively.
Any smart thinking civilization might decide this is a galactic neighborhood to avoid.
"I don't know what these 'UFOs' are, but, given their national security implications, the public can rest assured that, as president, I will get to the bottom of this mystery ASAP."
If he had said something even remotely similar to that, he would have been all over the news in the days after the debate.
