When I was a kid, I had the honor of receiving an inscribed photograph from Harry Truman.
In my gigging days, I encountered a few 'celebrities'. Most were nice enough. Cab Calloway was still charging a dollar for an aurograph, so I just shook his hand instead.
Kim Zimmer was a soap opera actress who my mom liked. Met her on a gig, she signed an autograph for my mom, and one for me as well.
I've actually been asked to sign autographs. I'm nobody, but I was happy to do it. It was just weird.
Autograph. An aurograph would be weird. Don’t want anyone signing my ear.
Roger that. I too have mixed with some folks that are “celebrity” types and treat them like anyone else. And have been complemented by some as well. Simple thanks and moved on. ππ
