Larger question: Was the 2008 Chinese spacewalk real or not? Watch the reflection on the device of the "astronaut's" wrist and you tell me.
I'm thinking not.

Bollywood doesn’t have Kubrick, Spielberg, or Lucas.

“Better question:” why are you trying to derail a thread about India by dragging in Ukraine?

“With that said ... it looked like REALLY bad CGI. So was it real or not?? “
You know how many IT guys there are in India? If they wanted CGI they probably could have done better than “REALLY bad CGI”.

You could just download Stable Diffusion and let the AI make you a very high quality “moon landing” video now. For free.
Why would anyone bother to fake a bad one?

the bigfoot-esque quality of the spacecraft’s camera. Only government contracting can ensure the crappiest quality at the lowest bid.

Not to mention Luddite-ism. “Wait, some new technology just discovered in the laboratory? It’s gotta be a trick!”

They are very serious.
This is their view—you might actually learn something from scientists who are not on the .gov payroll—or who do not receive .gov grants.

It did look weird. Low-bandwidth digital compression.

Meet some real science geeks How many of them have advanced degrees in actual scientific fields from reputable universities (i.e., not diploma mills)?
I'll bet zero.
I could go into details about my credentials, but I won't. There are people here who have better credentials than mine, which is fine, but they certainly aren't moon landing deniers.

I won’t believe it until Stanley Kubrick comes out and confirms it.

These “deluded idiots” are quite brilliant actually.
Sometimes the way we learn is to listen to people we disagree with...and give them a fair hearing.
Try it, you will like it!

By the way, notice my quote from above:
The live TV from Apollo 12 was nonexistent, because the astronauts accidentally pointed their TV camera at the sun and burned it out minutes after the moonwalk started
Now, I may have only been nine years old, but I remember that distinctly. IT HAPPENED. I saw it and remember it. No, you aren't going to convince me that I imagined it.
If the landings were faked on a sound stage, how do you explain that? What, Hollywood ran out of cameras? Obviously there's no "sun" indoors on a soundstage at 20th Century Fox.
There's no explanation except the paranoid "dog ate my homework" explanation that "that's all part of the conspiracy," is there?
