You don’t need to be a preacher, but a turn off for me is he insists he loves transgender in the military and will keep them when he’s president. That’s pretty much a no go right there.
There is no winning over the he-is-not-one-us crowd. They won’t vote for Vivek because “he is not one of us” and has nothing to do with his platform. You can’t reason with them, nor can you persuade them to change their mind. There is a reason Republicans get stereotyped with “-ists”. My support for Trump is unwavering but if Trump were not on the ballot, I would support Vivek without question and my advice to Vivek would be to just ignore the he-is-not-one-us block. They are a minority. He doesn’t need their vote and among the larger electorate they are irrelevant.
