Some Evangelical Christians are leaning toward Vivek’s candidacy, which for many Christians only lends credence to the fact that Christianity is plunging into apostasy. Vivek is a practicing Hindu.

There is no winning over the he-is-not-one-us crowd. They won’t vote for Vivek because “he is not one of us” and has nothing to do with his platform. You can’t reason with them, nor can you persuade them to change their mind. There is a reason Republicans get stereotyped with “-ists”. My support for Trump is unwavering but if Trump were not on the ballot, I would support Vivek without question and my advice to Vivek would be to just ignore the he-is-not-one-us block. They are a minority. He doesn’t need their vote and among the larger electorate they are irrelevant.
I voted for Jimmy Carter because he was a Christian; A really BAD decision on my part. Only time I voted for a democrat, except for county auditor; he did an excellent job.
In 2012, many evangelical Christians supported Mitt Romney. As a devout Mormon, Romney, like VR, is also a polytheist. I don’t know if Hindus believe that they themselves will become gods but Mormons do. The seeds of apostasy were planted a while ago.
