Interesting - I’ve only had one iPhone in my family that had the charging port (Lightning) fail - and it was heavily abused by my younger daughter.

Yeah, their next move is to mandate removable batteries in cell phones (there goes the waterproof specs). Let the market decide...fascism in action by the EU.
