I don’t see Ukrainians rushing to embrace Russians and Belarusians when this is over.

You're probably right.

1. There won't be anyone left in Uke to do any embracing -- they all left

2. Zelensky and his crew will be long gone by then -- living the high life in villas around the world with the gazillions they ripped off

3. The US and West, including Poland, will control the rump state, what's left of Ukieland, and they won't do any embracing, either

Belarus talks the Muscovite talk but still isn’t walking the walk. Lukashenko has yet to send a single brigade into Ukraine. He might talk the Kremlin arguments up but whenever he’s been asked to violate the Budapest and Belovezha agreements he’s always found an excuse.

I don’t think there is any real enmity between the Ukrainian people and the Belorussian people. Or even between Ukraine and Chechnya.

Ukraine knows full well that the Kremlin really just wanted Yanukovych to be reinstalled as president for life, and controlled, so he could be another Kadyrov / Lukashenko. It also knows that Chechnya and Belarus have suffered immensely because of their Kremlin backed puppets.

There but for the grace of God...
