MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) – The goals of the Russian special military operation have already been fulfilled and the future Ukraine will not dance to the tune of the United States, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Diana Panchenko, BelTA has learned.

The head of state was asked whether Russian President Vladimir Putin told him under what circumstances he would consider the goals of Russia's SMO fulfilled.

"You know, we did not discuss the topic with him in this spirit, but I dare to express my position. The goals of the SMO have already been fulfilled. Ukraine will never be as aggressive towards Russia after the end of this war as it was before the war. Ukraine will be different. First, there will be people in power who are more cautious, smarter, more cunning, if you like. Intelligent people. Who will understand that the neighbors are given by God and that you need to build relations with them," the president said.

"I'm sure of it. The future Ukraine will not dance to the tune of the United States. This is my understanding. I am absolutely convinced that Putin thinks so too. I think that's how he understands the process. This is a big lesson not only for Ukraine but also for Russia. For us, for the whole world. That's a great lesson. We will learn from it. Russia will too," the Belarusian leader stressed.

A nice place and fun things to do. Broaden your mind, see new places, meet other people, etc. You will meet the whole world on that street BTW.

I have been there quite a lot, and it’s just in Madrid. Get a flight to Barajas, reserve a hostal for a week or two. Have fun. And take your girl. It will make an impression, guaranteed.

Notice about the last 10 posts on this thread is two trolls posting that we must have stress related illness/food poisoning/need to get out more? Yeah, that’s DESPERATION.

Surely there’s another war starting soon they can support now that the war in the Ukraine is winding down and the Ukraine is about to be parceled out to neighbors?

Belarus talks the Muscovite talk but still isn’t walking the walk. Lukashenko has yet to send a single brigade into Ukraine. He might talk the Kremlin arguments up but whenever he’s been asked to violate the Budapest and Belovezha agreements he’s always found an excuse.

I don’t think there is any real enmity between the Ukrainian people and the Belorussian people. Or even between Ukraine and Chechnya.

Ukraine knows full well that the Kremlin really just wanted Yanukovych to be reinstalled as president for life, and controlled, so he could be another Kadyrov / Lukashenko. It also knows that Chechnya and Belarus have suffered immensely because of their Kremlin backed puppets.

There but for the grace of God...
