That CNN article says that it was "conservatives" that shifted the words "global warming" to "climate change." I disagree. True, the Left was catching flak over "global warming" for its unprovable doom and gloom to syphon public money and push to regulate...everything. And their hypocrisy by shifting their catestrophe from "the coming ice age" of the 60s and 70s to the "global warming" of the 90's and 00s. But I think the Left shifted term to "climate change" because then they can point to any "change" (slightly warmer, cooler, more humid, less humid, etc.) to prop up their alarmism.

You hit it right on the nose. This is the true and perfect explanation of the way the enviromuffins played with the language. It wasn’t conservatives that did this.
