Oleksii Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, denies that the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant or other nuclear power plants in Russia could become the target of Ukrainian forces.

QUOTE:
“Ukraine has no intentions to interfere in the work of objects that are mentioned in social networks, including the Kursk NPP. We attack those objects that are directly related to military affairs, and here we do not have to ask permission from anyone. We do it with our weapons, which are getting better and better every day.”
DETAILS:
In this way, the NSDC Secretary commented on misinformation about Ukraine’s alleged plans to blow up the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, which has no connection to Russia’s war effort.
The NSDC Secretary noted that it is “Putin who, at the beginning of his career, blew up houses with living people in their homes, so you can expect anything from them (the Russians – ed.).”
Danilov stressed that “a huge amount of information which is being distributed, including that by the Russian Federation, has NO SOURCE,” and this is “a big problem not only for our country, but for the whole world.”
“If you do not understand who is behind this or that message, do not pay attention to it. The manipulations that the Russian Federation resorts to, throwing in certain things [into public space – ed.], affect consciousness, and this is very dangerous,” Danilov added.
EARLIER:
On 15 August, the National Resistance Center, citing data from the underground sources in Kursk Oblast, reported that the Russians were training to evacuate civilians in case an accident occurred at the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant.
On 14 July, the government of Kursk Oblast of Russia reported the crash and detonation of a drone near a nuclear power plant; three drones are also reported to have been downed on the outskirts of the city of Voronezh.
