You're damn right it is! It will be called the Glorious Victorious Spring-Summer-Winter-Fall-Kwanzaa-Black Friday Offensive™ and will be led by the World Famous Ghost Of Chicken Kiev™.

"If you knew your history that is exactly what Republican “isolationists” were saying before ww2. Please don’t try to change history to suit your agenda. To be honest Russia is not in the same league as Hitler and Germany, but they are still a dirty stinking rotten country that people like you support, and they are a butthole on the planet."

As is Youcrayne. To hell with both places. Not our circus.

Not one penny more of US taxpayer money to prop up the corrupt craphole of Youcrayne and its gay-dancing, grifting little midget.

I think a "slight" correction to the number of Youke casualties are in order. Here's my rule of thumb when it comes to discerning actual casualties from "news" reports from leftist, pro-Youke propaganda outfits like the NY Slimes: Reduce Russian casualties by a factor of 100. Increase Youke ones by the same factor.

--- "Man, that's gonna leave a mark. . ."

The cheating in terms of rhetoric and all is astounding. Asserting something without citation is a game played all too often.

"Every other major country lives in peace except Russia."
He asserted the above without any documentation, an utter falsehood. Then, after being supplied with many citations disproving his assertion, he just went away, to pop up in the next day's thread.

If he believed what he asserted, he could defend the statement. But, no.

This is among the reasons that I predict, the unfortunate Ukrainians being used in this proxy war will eventually receive the same treatment many of our veterans here in the US "receive" every damn day.

UMCRevMom@aol.com asserted to you:
The ‘PUTIN-Biden-Clinton-Obama’ cartel did used Ukraine as a FRONT to stage their money-laundering by using Russian agents embedded BY PUTIN in the Ukraine government: Ukrainian deep-state! President Zelensky is still trying to remove Ukraine CORRUPT “deep state created by Putin!”
Please note that no citations to support the assertion underpin the remark. It is an admission that Ukraine was deeply involved in money-laundering. In fact, it is also an assertion that this corruption continues, that one plucky little Z is fighting against Putin and Russia, against Biden, Clinton, Obama and therefore this American government, and against all the "embedded Russian agents" and the Ukrainian "deep state." This mythology making is the stuff of Hollywood. Super-hero time.

Every villain aligned against little Z, and of course his Swiss-vlogging ally, Deny Davydov who gives us our daily thread.

I am chuckling especially as this thread contains a comment:

"” Ukraine, which is knee-deep is US political corruption and money laundering.” "There is no evidence of that [corruption] at all. Its often repeated around here, but its based on nothing."
But...
"...‘PUTIN-Biden-Clinton-Obama’ cartel did used Ukraine as a FRONT to stage their money-laundering by using Russian agents embedded BY PUTIN in the Ukraine government: Ukrainian deep-state!"
Lovely. NO evidence AND evidence, appearing this day on this thread. Ostensibly by allies.

Yup.

I validate your view.

"No fan of Putin, because he's an ass, nor do I care for Ukraine, which is knee-deep is US political corruption and money laundering. A mere fraction of the money sent to Ukraine could have greatly bolstered the US border."
Yes indeed. Kudos to you.

What a laughable and idiotic statement that is. I noticed that beside the few Youkazoids here that try wearing opponents down with circular arguments, massive blowhardery and endless rationalizations, most of them just pop up, blurt out some jingoistic, fantastical crap, throw a few personal insults and then when you call them on it all they go dark. Lather-rinse-repeat.

I believe you're right about the Youkes - they're being used and abused, soon to be spat out in tatters by Nuland & Co.

Though I don’t disagree with you on the funding issue as a concept, but that is not the issue. We can walk and chew gum at the same time if there was the political will to do it. The problem is not funding. We were funding the Afghan war(something costing far more than this conflict in both American blood and treasure) and were building the wall and securing the border. Difference not conflict in Ukraine and funding it but Trump(won’t credit republicans) VS xiden and deep state
Not meaning to pile on, but I get so tired of people equating military and non- military aid to Ukraine to failure to secure border. The failure began the second xiden took office(no Ukraine war at that time) and has accelerated ever since.

My favorite is when people directly and indirectly assert that sending weapons to Ukraine like bradlys, Strykers …. is weakening US southern border

What is truth? RT, Russian MOD, simply calling something “propaganda” does not make it false, and saying something is true also does not make it so.

Like anything one must look at available information and make up your own mind

The blind squirrel concept comes to mind

I am perfectly happy to disagree with statements coming from any direction.

I do not see any evidence of US political funds going to US politicians from “Ukraine”, not now nor in years past. Save for the one case, that of Biden, which involved a private company soliciting corrupt US support against the Ukrainian government.

And a partially correct statement from your other cite is all about the nature of Burisima. This is, or at least was, at the time, a business well connected with pro-Russian interests. Which was why Poroshenkos government was after them, post-Maidan.

So, as one of my heroes (Jaime Escalante, I met him once, in Sacramento) said, “stand and deliver”. Where is the grand Ukrainian funding mechanism? Testimony, receipts, emails please.

Frankly I am tired of the F-16 games, the west is asking the Ukrainian’s to fight a war in a way we never would.

The gripen is a superior aircraft for what the Ukrainians need. Meant for les improved airfields and it can do what they need which is to launch western weapons

The idea that it will take a year to train is ridiculous, they don’t need to be taught dog fighting or complex air operations. Take off, launch weapons and land

The other stuff can come later with experience and training

Happy you met Jaime Escalante. I met many notables in my travels. So we've met people. Next time we'll play "name drop."

But I don't take it as necessary to "deliver" anything to someone not in legal authority here, there or anywhere, i.e., you for one.

Since UMCRevMom@aol.com made quite number of assertions as to ongoing corruption in Ukraine, perhaps a faster detailing and "testimony, receipt, emails" can be had through her. To remind:

"The ‘PUTIN-Biden-Clinton-Obama’ cartel did used Ukraine as a FRONT to stage their money-laundering by using Russian agents embedded BY PUTIN in the Ukraine government: Ukrainian deep-state! President Zelensky is still trying to remove Ukraine CORRUPT “deep state created by Putin!”
Give it a try. Good luck. And thanks for the opportunity to quote her assertion yet again on this thread.

To a point, the “Great Depression “ was mostly a US created and extended thing. Most of the rest of the world did not experience quite as bad a recession. Germany was a different story and their economic issues were largely based on the effects of the war and the onerous conditions of the the treaty of Versailles.

To my knowledge Japan did not suffer like that or US and their militarism existed before and after that time period.

The war that was bound to happen between Soviet Union and now Russia is happening. That is hat all the abrams, bradleys, ….. were built for and are being used for now. As to American lives, that is an interesting point, the Ukrainians are suffering that part in defense of of their country
Stopping Russian aggression with western weapons and Ukrainian soldiers means American soldiers won’t (and are not) dying by the 1000s .

The depression elsewhere did get as bad as in the US in places (Germany and Japan are two, we are talking >30% unemployment and widespread hunger), but nowhere was it extended as long.

But that was more than enough to disrupt the politics of many nations. France came close to civil war, Germany got Hitler, and Japan effectively got military rule.

Once is all it takes once a country goes there.

True wasn’t specific enough on duration, not sure about Japan as I think it was always a militaristic govt.

As in there was never a democracy that led to militaristic autocracy based on economic conditions, could be wrong

Japan had a form of a normal parliamentary democracy, albeit with explicit constitutional roles for the military, and the emperor was much more than a constitutional monarch. Japan had political parties and cabinet government, mostly civilian, plus universal suffrage.

But the political crises of the 30’s changed that radically, de facto if not de jure. The civilian parties lost power in both a formal and informal sense. There was civil unrest and the military was afraid of socialists abd communists rising. The 1931 Manchurian annexation was a sort of “unauthorized” wag-the-dog exercise that worked to distract the public.

Of course, all this had severe consequences down the road. Japan had fallen into the proverbial hole, and it kept digging.

And so on. Its an interesting story.

putin is evil

“At the same time, he did not specify when the West would start “begging for negotiations”, but began to call for the destruction of Ukraine, even if it took decades. “We have no choice: Either we destroy their hostile political regime, or the collective West will eventually tear Russia apart,” Medvedev said.

He once again called the Russian aggression against Ukraine an “existential conflict” and demanded that Russia fully control Ukraine.”

May the breakup of russia being with China reclaiming their historical territory of Siberia

May it be so!

No good guys here. All are crooks. The war will end in time—I hope it will not take too many decades. Ukraine will be a devastated place where even the rich will abandon—like California.

The corruption was in the previous Ukraine administration which was ousted by a popular uprising because of that corruption. It is uncertain about corruption around Zelensky. I haven't seen any proof just rhetoric It is hard to believe that the Ukrainians would be doing so well if they were stealing the money. That would really make Russia look even more stupid and inefficient then it is.

We are wasting a lot more money arming against Russia. If Russia were defeated and divided, then we would not have to spend as much. So as far as the money being spent on this you are really being penny wise and pound foolish.

We would be a lot better off if Russia was neutered and so would be the world. This is too good of an opportunity to pass up.
