I’ll walk into stores. No mask.

I did that during the masky period in Arizona. I used that time to figure out friend and foe and have permanently changed my buying patterns as a result. Sometimes it came down to the local store manager (Best Buy had mixed results depending on location). Signs mean nothing.

Now I apply my list and continue my regular patterns. Here in Phoenix, QT and Waffle House are "go to", along with a bunch of mom and pop stores.

I did that the first time around during our short mask mandate. Only one time did somebody say something. I was at a gas station and went into the convenience store to get a couple of bottles of water. The guy working the counter said, “Ma’am, do you have a mask?” There was nobody else in the store.

“Nope,” I said as I walked out. I went back to my car, drove about a block and a half down the street to another gas station, got my water, filled my tank and nobody made a peep about my free-breathing face.
