—”In the early 1990s, Solovyov taught economics at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.”
Very interesting and explains his calling for a class action against MB in the full version.
Class actions are not yet a thing in the EU and are a recent development in Russia.
About his wages, the typical Russian takes home ~$500.00 a month, not quite Hannity level but well into the boyar level.
My argument is not that Solovyov is somehow a good guy. Demonstrably he is another in the long line of self-promoters, seen consistently around this wee world of ours.
His ~$526,000 -- compared to a Russian per capita of about $7,933 [ December 2022] -- is about 66 times as great an income.
Comparing him and "our" Hannity's ~$40 million -- compared to about 60 percent of our US population of about ~$50K and less -- we find our "oligarch" is about 800 times as great an income.
Okay, let's be "fairer" in our comparison and take little Lester Holt -- ~$4 million, we find "poorer" Lester Holt manages a mere 80 times the most of our US population. So compared to some of our "truth tellers," this blustery, foolish Solovyov doesn't quite measure up. Not for trying, of course.
As I see it, "our" oligarchs are "better" than "theirs," and "our" media types are "better" than theirs. And their "boyars" seem no match for our "boyars," so we may use any aristocratic term we like, and simple math says....
So many in our government are "boyars" while not being noble. Ditto the Ruskies.
