The following is an update from SpaceX:
"SpaceX is targeting Friday, August 18 at 12:30 a.m. PT (7:30 UTC) for a Falcon 9 launch of 21 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
Weather permitting, this event could be visible to the unaided eye for hundreds of miles. Observers in dark locations may be able to see the rocket's tenuous exhaust plume. Rather than being visible due to being illuminated by sunlight at high altitude, the plume may be visible because it is generating its own light.

If you can stay up that late or are a very early riser.
There are two links to watch it in my post.
All conditions right and I may see it live from 500 miles away here outside of Phx.
The view of the train from last week’s launch was pretty specacular
Where are you located?
Saw one last September - just after sunset on the east coast
Was spectacular seeing the exhaust plume illuminated by the sun as it climbed toward orbit ......
Ive seen a couple. If people are unawsre of it, then see it, they are sometimes stunned and call 911. Lol

Thank you. Next week will a big one for SpaceX. 3 launches including a manned flight.
3? From V-berg?
1 from Vandenberg, 2 from Florida.
Here is a site I find very useful to keep track of upcoming SpaceX launches:

Saw one a few years back. It was a 50+. Each was about 5-7 seconds behind each other. They were faint but even made my wife watch it. She still brings it up in a positive way today. SPACE X is something else.
Thx.
I found this.

I am actually less than 300 miles from spaceport, 500 from V-berg.
I’ll be watching.
Thank you very much. With all of these excellent resources, we should never miss another important launch.
