The Bulgarian government has confirmed that Bulgaria will join the G7 declaration on long-term security guarantees for Ukraine on 16 August.

DETAILS: The Bulgarian government stressed that Bulgaria is offering political and practical support to Ukraine, which, “by opposing the Russian aggression, is also making an unprecedented contribution to protecting the freedom, security and sovereignty of all European member-states”.
QUOTE from the statement by the Bulgarian government: “In line with this consistent approach, Bulgaria will join the G7 countries’ Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine.”
Details: Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs was instructed to announce the government’s decision.
BACKGROUND:
-Member states of the Group of Seven agreed on a framework document concerning security guarantees for Ukraine during the NATO summit in Vilnius in July 2023. While they did not agree on the specific details, they set out a general framework; bilateral agreements will be signed later.
-Fifteen countries have joined the G7 declaration. In August, Ukraine also launched negotiations concerning security guarantees with the US and the UK.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to advance on the Melitopol and Berdiansk fronts, consolidating recently captured positions and carrying out counter-battery measures; 15 combat clashes were recorded during the day.

The operational situation on the Volyn and Polissia fronts remains much the same as before.
On the SIVERSHCHYNA and SLOBOZHANSHCHYNAl fronts, the Russians fired mortars and artillery at over 15 settlements: Tymonovychi and Bleshnia in Chernihiv Oblast; Shalyhyne, Popivka and Myropillia in Sumy Oblast, as well as Odnorobivka, Stohnii, Udy, Zelene and Hatyshche in Kharkiv Oblast.
On the KUPIANSK front, the Russian forces conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the vicinity of Senkivka in Kharkiv Oblast; they used artillery and mortars in Vilshane, Petropavlivka and Cherneshchyna in Kharkiv Oblast.
On the LYMAN front, the Russians fired artillery on about 20 settlements. Among them, in particular, are Nevske, Dibrova and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast, as well as Siversk, Verkhnokamianske, Sviato-Pokrovske and Vyimka in Donetsk Oblast.
On the BAKHMUT front, Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of Bohdanivka in Donetsk Oblast. Over 15 settlements were affected by Russian artillery shelling; among them are Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Kalynivka, Ivanivske and Stupochky in Donetsk Oblast.
On the AVDIIVKA front, Ukrainian forces, under heavy fire from aircraft and artillery, continue to restrain the offensive of Russian troops in the vicinity of Avdiivka, Donetsk Oblast. More than 10 settlements were shelled by Russians, including Oleksandropil, Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in Donetsk Oblast.
On the MARINKA front, the Ukrainian troops continue to restrain the offensive of Russian troops in the area of the city of Marinka, Donetsk Oblast. The Russians launched an airstrike in the area of Novomykhailivka, Donetsk Oblast, and targeted 10 settlements with artillery. In particular, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka, Katerynivka and Kurakhove in Donetsk Oblast.

It is also reported that the Russians have strengthened filtration measures in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast. In particular, between 15 and 26 August, a ban was imposed on any movement of civilians in the area between Hola Prystan and the Kinburn Spit. Sweden is preparing the 13th military aid package for Ukraine, worth almost $314 million.

Even liar Zelensky said months ago that he couldn't win without F-16's.
His head of the military gave an interview in The Economist in which he said he knew what he needed to win, and he knew NATO didn't have it to give him.
NATO depleted it's ammo and weapons, as has the US, but Russia continues to keep pace and exceed their use with their own production lines, and can continue to do so indefinitely.
The GNP comparison of Russia with California isn't meaningful as CA was/is (Before Biden) the 3rd largest economy in the world. Besides, the US is paying the salary and pensions of the Ukraine's government officials. Ukraine is 'toast'.
Ukraine is winning and will continue if they get these planes and it our need and interest to give them to them. It is a far better thing for Ukraine to fight Russia then us. Russia is still trying to expand its territory and it is still the main problem in the world. And you support Russia. When you are begging for help like the Ukrainians are doing than you don’t say you can win without help. You state the reverse.
Russia is very incompetent and they do not have the ability to turn out weapons systems at that rate you say they do.

“Urozhayne has been liberated. Our defenders are consolidating their positions. The offensive continues,” she wrote in a telegram.
The village of Urozhayne belongs to the Velykonovosilkivska settlement military administration of the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region. The settlement has been under occupation since March 2022.
