DeSantis denies the 2020 election was stolen and is not willing to fight the vote fraud.

Unfortunately, even if there was the slightest possibility that the 2024 election would be honest, he would not beat the communist candidate...

Only Trump would stand a chance...

IAC, Soros & Bezos say that “All your votes belong to us”...

He jumped onto the national stage too soon. He owes a bit of loyalty to Trump for the President’s assitance in getting him elected. Further, he needs to solidify his foreign policy chops by at least commenting wisely from the sideline.

Last - but certainly not least - he is being pushed by the same GOPe dolts that pushed Yeb in 2016 - which many conservatives believe (rightly IMO) is the mark of a squish candidate which promises everything the conservative wants, but works to deliver none of it.

Desantis may make a great president someday. He is not ready, and comes off as a foil against the clear frontrunner.

I agree and doesn’t Burgum’s face look like it belongs on the $50 bill?

Fill me in...Why is he fading? Personality? Policy positions? Political skills? All the above?

Well, Firstly, he has all the wrong Friends. He's intimate with the Bush clan rino portion of the Republican party.

Secondly, he made a serious misstep in challenging Trump. Trump knew before he even announced that DeSantis was showing disloyalty to Trump.

Third, he's made some missteps in his political statements regarding the 2020 election, and the January 6 people being held as political prisoners.

1+. Sympathy to Trump being indicted countless times now

2. Smeared by Trump supporters as a RINO

3. People want celebrities and BS/fast talkers now, who make politics “fun”

DeSantis nearly lost the 2018 Florida election to the unqualified odious transvestite Gillum until Trump endorsed Ron to push him over the top.

DeSantis won reelection in 2022 without needing the Trump endorsement but he displayed a real lack of gratitude to the man that made Ron a national figure.

Without Trump, DeSantis would be in the private sector, selling insurance.

Because he’s not Trump. Take Trump out of the race and it would look very different.

“Why is he fading?”

Because even a bright light bulb fades if you put it next to a floodlight.

To those who say DeSantis should have waited, the primaries should not be a coronation, besides, why is he the only one who should have waited.

Because he is the only one who might have been a serious threat to Trump.

And your "coronation" jibe is off base. A lot of people feel Trump was cheated, as were we, and the only way to restore a semblance of normality is to put things back to right.

I personally am motivated by the belief that only Trump will have the rage and motive for revenge necessary to go to battle with the corrupt deep state and try to cut it's throat.

Everyone else will try to make some kind of an "eat me last" deal with it. Trump will actually try to slay the dragon.

With that hair he looks a little like Andrew Jackson.

Yes he could be on a bill if they’re still around in the next few years.

If you are going to watch the "Rich men north of Richmond" steal things from you while nobody fights them, at least one guy will give us some entertainment while he fights our common enemy.

Simple. it’s 100% because of who gives his money. If Abraham Lincoln received the money from the same individuals that sends it to Ron, I would be very skeptical of him as well.

I won’t vote for DeSantis because of his backers in the GOPe that have betrayed Americans and Republican voters every chance that they get.

DeSantis is the meat puppet of the establishment.

The smartest strategic move for DeSantis would be to withdraw, endorse DJT, and regroup for 2028.

That includes ditching Karl Rove, the Bushes, and Paul Ryan.

He is the latest iteration of Scott Walker. They make a big splash in state politics and do a good job, but quickly flame out on the national level.

“To those who say DeSantis should have waited, the primaries should not be a coronation...”

We don’t mean “he should have waited, because it’s Trump’s turn”. We mean “he should have waited if he wanted to have a chance of winning and not possibly ruin his whole political career”.

“...besides, why is he the only one who should have waited.”

Because the rest of the clowns never had any chance of winning, and don’t really have political careers to ruin. So they don’t lose much by throwing their hats into the ring, to let Trump stomp all over them. Who cares about them?
