Which seems true based on my observations.

Oh, it's true. My cousins are 1/2 Hawaiian. Some on their Hawaiian side calls them Haole and it's not said in a joking manner.

LOL....yeah. We had Hawaiians at my high school and in college. Nauseating.......Hawaii this and Hawaii that, all the time.

Yep. I worked with an Hawaiian Army Captain in Iraq. She often openly made disparaging comments about “white people.” Once, after making such a comment, she asked me, “Did you hear that?”

I didn’t even look up from my work as I replied “Hear what? I didn’t hear anything; I have my ignorance filter on.”

A couple of my colleagues laughed, one high-fived me and she never pulled crap like that around me again.
