Couple of years ago , after complaining about “food deserts”
they got a supermarket to open in Newark Central Ward aka The Hood
It boasted of a excellent produce section, butcher shop, well stocked shelves
All the media and politicians turned out for its opening
It closed year and half later as nobody in the neighborhood would shop there
So next time whine about “food deserts” remind them of this ......
