These people live in PixelLand, a weird, dysfunctional place inhabited by people whose “reality” consists of synthetic images constrained only by the imaginations of the programmers. They consider this “freedom,” and they are agitated when external realities intrude.

I sometimes think we should just put them on virtual diets and let nature take its course. At least they would die happy.
