Back in 1996 had a job interview at a company in seattle. It was a spectacular day without a cloud in the sky. I got the job and started two days later. I was there for a month before I saw my first cloud. I realized at that point that we do have really nice weather in Seattle and also explains why people in Seattle have to water the lawns but those of us in Kentucky don’t. Which is where I now live by the way.

That month of summer goes by awfully quick, though. During the remainder of the nominally summer season, the problem is not generally raininess or excessive coolness but just persistant cloudiness. Moving from eastern WA I kind of felt I got cheated out of 2/3 of summer, but the one month surely was beautiful and pleasant.
