There are an infinite number of points on a line.

No two points are ever next to each other.

Why?

Highlight the next line for the answer.
The mid-point theorem says that for any two points on a line segment, there is always a point exactly halfway between them.

That is why no two points on a line are ever next to each other. I actually figured this one out on my own in sophomore High School geometry class.
