Zelenskyy holds meeting with Ukraine’s Intelligence Chief, Armed Forces Chief and Navy Chief

On 11 August, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a teleconference and the meeting of the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, heard the reports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry for Strategic Branches of Industry and the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), and held a meeting dedicated to new possible ways of grain export.

“In the morning, we had a conference call. Military, intelligence, government officials. The conversation was accompanied by the sounds of air defence in Kyiv Oblast. I heard the reports of commanders, ministers.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported about the situation in the regions, how we deal with the aftermath of Russian strikes, on the work of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. I am thankful to all Ukrainian rescue workers!
The Ministry of Strategic Industries reported on the production of munitions and equipment in Ukraine. We are increasing the volume of production. Constantly increasing.
The Security Service of Ukraine is doing a good job against collaborators. Thank you, guys!

DETAILS:
Zelenskyy remarked that the representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine cooperated with the ambassadors of Ukraine’s partner states in order to involve these countries in the Ukrainian peace formula.
Zelenskyy himself spoke to the President of Zambia, and the latter also supported the Ukrainian peace formula.

“We had a separate meeting with Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate Budanov, Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny, Navy Commander Neizhpapa, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Maliuk, and the Ministry of Infrastructure to discuss alternatives to exporting grain through the transit corridor. We are doing everything possible to ensure that Ukraine remains a guarantor of food security and that our people have access to global markets.

DETAILS: Zelenskyy has thanked everyone who is fighting for Ukraine, who is in the trenches, at the combat missions, on combat posts and who is working for the state.
BACKGROUND: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that on 11 August, the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC) decided to dismiss all heads of regional military enlistment officers, meaning all territorial recruitment and social support centre (TRC) heads.

58 countries support Ukraine’s peace formula

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, has said that 58 countries have supported the preparation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.

Quote: “If last time [at the meeting in Jeddah on 5 August – ed.] we had 43 countries, today there are already 58. And this is not the end, and I can also say that we have a large number of countries that want to join.”
DETAILS:
Yermak said that 10 groups have been set up for each point of the peace formula. “Our [Ukrainian – ed.] specialists will work in these groups, and international experts will also be involved,” he said.
QUOTE:
“Our plan is to develop this detailed program for each point of our formula and to do so by the end of this month. So that in a month’s time, as we agreed in Jeddah, we can hold the next meeting at the level of advisors and discuss the date and location of the summit.”
BACKGROUND:
-On 5 August, a meeting was held in Saudi Arabia to discuss the upcoming Peace Formula Summit proposed by official Kyiv.
-The meeting in Jeddah, which is the second meeting on the Peace Formula Summit (after the first in Copenhagen), was attended by national security advisors and political advisors to leaders from about 40 countries. Among them were those that are not part of the Western camp, such as China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Chile and South Africa. The Ukrainian Foreign Minister called China’s participation a “major breakthrough”. Russia, as it is known, was not invited to participate.
-After the meeting in Saudi Arabia, Andrii Yermak said that Ukraine plans to hold two summits on the peace formula presented by Zelenskyy, one of which will involve Russia.
