Lol. Give you a break? What publication quoted 12,000 excess deaths the New York times?

I guess the CDC is lying about the 117,000 excess deaths. Maybe do some research?

Here you go, with the relevant chart:

FR: We've Hit The Iceberg: America's Kids Are Dying Now

Average about 100/week over baseline, times 50 weeks times two years, plus a couple months is ~12000.

This article, however, mentions 117,000 excess deaths, with absolutely nothing backing up those numbers. It says that comes from the CDC, but there's no links to where the CDC said that. And considering there's usually only about 50-60,000 deaths a year in the 0-24 age range (0-19 is around 45,000 a year, hard to quickly find solid data on the next 5 years also), that puts 117M at just over 100% excess deaths (over two years), although the 12M deaths is only about 10% excess, not the 45% excess the other article states. Not sure how they're mathing their maths, but 12M does look more accurate than 117M, unless the 117M is actually total deaths, and is including the 12M excess on top of the normal baseline. If so, numbers from both articles line up pretty well together.
