I honestly cannot think of a way to beat this. In short, the women vote is going to finally ruin us.

We're living in 'Fall of Rome" so to speak. Things will change quickly. In San Francisco, it's not safe for anyone to walk in the streets.

It is very much a Trojan Horse. The rats perfected using ballot initiatives years ago. Abortion has given them the ultimate weapon. The rats will time it for the most damage and Republican SOS offices don’t know they are in a war so they won’t put these on August primary ballots so soon there will be no GOP SOS offices.

Don’t be surprised if Rank Choice Voting will be put on the ballots in states with abortion initiatives pending. That will be the final nail in the coffin of the USA.

Good summary and I see no road back. So now we have this perfect storm when the country was already hanging by a thread. This could be why the rats are going full out with no hint of moderating. They have every reason to think they will get it all. Maybe Linda drives the final nail in by bringing up a National Abortion ban again October of 24.

Much of this discussion has been about abortion. I look upon the word “abortion” as a euphemism. It hides the fact that it is the killing of unborn babies. So if instead of using that word, we repeatedly referred to it as what it really is, then at least some people would be forced to confront what they are actually advocating. How many people would proudly proclaim that they WANT to kill a baby?

“Why start a political fight that you know the opposition will outspend you?”

So Trump shouldn’t have run against Hillary?

Was mail-in balloting allowed for the general public and not restricted to shut-ins? If so, the result was predictable.

I’m tellin’ y’all, if unrestricted mail-in voting becomes the rule and not the exception, we are screwed from now on.

Don’t put a stupid election in august like you said you wouldn’t then money wouldn’t be an issue. Once again, democrats worked hard to win. Republicans shown once again they are lazy!

Ohio isn't a swing state, not at the state level at least.

I've lived in Ohio since 2009 and Sherrod Brown is the only Democrat to win a statewide election during that time. He got lucky, running in two years favorable to Democrats.

As far as Presidential elections, it all depends on if whoever the nominee is in 2028 is MAGA or not. If he or she is, the Republican will win the state easily.

If the GOP goes back to being a party of Bush, neoconism, etc., it won't be viable national party.

This is the reason why, in the same state that Trump can win rather well, Sharrod Brown (D) wins

He's gotten lucky, running for reelection in two years that favored Democrats. In 2020, the Republicans couldn't even come up with a credible nominee, maybe by design of the GOP establishment to prevent a MAGA candidate like JD Vance from taking the seat.

Why did it backfire?

Because legal abortion, in some form, is overwhelmingly popular and any election where it is believed to be at stake will result in the anti-abortion forces being crushed.

Agreed that Ohio is not a swing state at the state level, nor will it be.

But - we do tend to have moderates.

Agreed that Ohio will only vote massively for MAGA for president, otherwise it will be a swing state. I doubt we will have MAGA again (2028). The tide is designed to eliminate MAGA federally and locally. Ohio politicians are not MAGA. DC is not MAGA.

Once Trump is gone, I don’t see anyone that has his capability to fire up the base. The base is what makes MAGA possible, not the politicians. Even those with MAGA credentials can’t get the attention or participation that Trump gets. Ie MTG, Gaetz, Lake etc. All good people but without the draw. Sleeping voters have no sway. Trump voters do.

I forgot to mention, the link I posted list details of the contributions as well. Much better than the Columbus article data. You’ll have to scroll down quite a bit to get to that section of data. FYI - the entire link is worth looking at.

We lost because voters are lazy. Voters want smaller government and more power……they forget that it requires them to do their own work (pay attention, research and engage). Voters did not research or vote. We have the government we deserve……sadly.

I run 2 MAGA groups. My job, to inform them of what’s going on. To their credit, they do listen and learn. BUT - on this issue, I begged them for months to privately message their like minded friends on this issue. They did not.
