Wild turkeys do not taste that great. Their legs are full of tendons. The breast meat is about half the size of a regular domesticated turkey.

There are so many here in NH that they are a tremendous pain in the A$$.
The only good thing they do is eat a lot of ticks and other insects.

When I am mowing the lawn on my John Deere rider I have gotten with in fifteen feet of them before they moved. They are not afraid of me at all.

The other animal that has come back in huge numbers is the cottontail rabbit. Five years ago they were very scarce. Now , they are everywhere. They are so many in southeastern NH that people have to cover their flower beds with mesh to keep the rabbits from eating everything.
