Interesting ... it’s an ELECTED office, apparently. Governor deSantis did not hire her. Interesting that he has the power to effectively fire her.

Wow, he’s tough! What a leader! /s

nice to know he is actually being filled in on what’s happening in the state he’s supposed to be governing as he jets around collecting money for his failed campaign.

The Meatball should go back to FLA and become a full time Governor.

Standing up to blacks. Might not work but it’s about overdue. I just wish one of the 6 other dwarfs(there were 7) would have stood up to Jesse Jackson in ‘88. Al Gore did ever so slightly.

In the article from WESH- NBC TV— is a tweet from a crazed demonrat state rep.... one Anna Eskamani. She launched her state rep bs campaign with a “die in” at Publix grocery stores in Orange County,FL in support of that a@@ David Hogg now irrelevant at hhhhhhaaaaahvahhd paid for education by some foundation. Eskamani is Iranian, foul mouthed f word every 3rd word, and completely ineffective in State House. A big stupid Leftist mouth.

Orange County has as a US House Rep a complete stoner whacko who beat a good man ex Army Colonel black man and true conservative. Why? because of all the fruits and nuts that partner with Disney. To replace the idiot Demings woman with this ... turd. Orange County needs to break the crazy cartel running it.

DeSantis has been forthright on the lack of prosecution and county law enforcement (removing Broward election director crook was former gov Scott now Senator. Sheriff Israel was removed from office and tried to run- and lost in Broward, iirc.). The State Attorney prior to this Worrell was a pro muslim one who would NOT prosecute a cop killer who also killed his girlfriend pregnant with his kid. Because he was muslim and hidden from arrest by muslims. Worrell came in as “elected” against the State Attorney that prosecuted this muslim out of existence.)

Worrell is everything DeSantis says she is— purposefully and politically motivated to move crime

It is interesting. Apparently in FL, if you are elected to enforce the law as a DA, which no democrats do, then the Governor can whack you. the accusation is dereliction of duty. Person is caught breaking law X. DA does not prosecute for bogus reason, Gov can say take a hike? Correct. It beats waiting 4 years until the next election. He suspended the sheriff in parkvale and the Dade county election chief too, once he was in office. Its a shame that all the other republican govs before him in FL and other places never bother to do this.

She must be Alvin Bragg, Part Deux.

I wonder how this will work out. Rick Scott fired election fraudster, Broward County Election Supervisor Brenda Snipes when he was Governor. She sued, and the judge in her case refused to let her have a hearing over her firing, but left her job status in the hands of DeSantis, who had just been elected. DeSantis simply let her resubmit her original resignation that she had previously turned in to Rick Scott, before pulling it, and taking court action against him. So DeSantis let her walk away with her pension and benefits intact. Snipes was eventually found guilty of violating State and Federal election laws for destroying ballots too soon after the 2016 election. Snipes had been a fraudster for many years, having been appointed by Jeb Bush, after Bush had fired her predecessor, Miriam Oliphant for "...grave neglect, mismanagement and incompetence"...basically the same charges Rick Scott used to fire Snipes.

Snipes, and Oliphant are black, as is Worrell.

Unlike Trump he actually fires people instead of putting them in positions that can cause him harm.

I'm not sure he does. May just be theatrics.

I was at a mandatory meeting for elected officials in our county when someone brought up a case of an election judge (same office I hold) who was getting a lot of people in her precinct angry. We were told that as long as they were showing up for work and performing their duties, they could only vote them out of office next time their term was up or encourage them to resign.

Of course, this is Pennsylvania. Florida may be different.

There is a lot of blatant stupidity masquerading as “sarcasm and snark”.

Indeed. There are 50 States, and each State's governor has very different power and authority. Comparing one to another, without accounting for that, is a bit pointless.
