Based on Russia’s stated goals at the outset of the conflict Russia has indeed lost.

The goals were to remove Ukraine’s leadership and keep NATO from Russia’s borders.

Today all pro-Russian politicians in Ukraine have no chance of power, and NATO rockets are daily pounding the Russian Army.

Putin may not have lost the war, but he certainly hasn’t won it yet.

As far as keeping nato away from it’s borders, if it conquers Ukraine, it will have nato on it’s border.

Link please, regarding the replacement of Ukraine’s leadership. I think you’re conflating it with the US stated goals have been towards Russia, since we got this war started. But I’m also open to seeing where Russia initially demanded the replacement of the Ukrainian government.
