LOL it’s not about Ron-duh-santis being a threat to Trump, Ron is a threat to the country. He’d willfully chooses to align with people who hate America and worked for it’s demise. He only does ok things for citizens if it gets him some thing.

Ron is a threat to the country.

I doubt that. But I understand that it's election season and everyone is entitled to a little hyperbole.

I'd consider this, too:

• DeSantis went to Yale and then Harvard Law School;
• DeSantis joined the Navy, was an advisor to Seal Team One, and was deployed to Iraq for a year;
• DeSantis was appointed by the Department of Justice to serve as a Special Assistant U.S. attorney at the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Middle District of Florida until he was honorably discharged by the Navy;
• DeSantis ran for and won a seat in the House of Representatives (three terms);
• DeSantis was a Founding Member of the House Freedom Caucus.
• DeSantis ran for and won the Governor's race in Florida (twice);

That doesn't look like the CV of a "threat to the country" to me.

All that said, I still believe that it was a mistake for DeSantis to run this cycle. DeSantis needs to be a Florida Governor first, a Trump supporter second to deliver Florida to Trump, and then a future presidential candidate third.

DeSantis should be looking to 2028, meaning he should have been looking for a position in the Trump administration for 2026, perhaps as President Trump's Attorney General. He can then leverage that position to build up his own team as the foundation for his presidential run in 2028.

But he didn't do that. His mistake was that he didn't have a mature, tested team and proven national campaign infrastructure. He would have had the opportunity to build one in DC as a part of the second half of the Trump administration.
