DeSantis will get a chance to shine in the GOP debate(s), especially with Trump absent. I agree that Biden will likely be out - Harris would be disaster, so they might go with the pretty new toy from Calif.
Trump Loyalists will vote for him in the Primaries. DeSantis will use 2024 to learn how to campaign and get better at it for 2028.
