Note that Worldtraveler once upon a time looked at some of links the thread poster provided in the comments of a prior thread and found they were monetized and in support of the Ukraine. Just so you know before you click on a link....

Of UATV, one learns:
The channel "UATV English" is monetized! Since Feb 8, 2017, the channel has generated 253,671,329 views. Assuming all views were monetized from day 1* with an average RPM of $3.00, this channel has generated $761,013.99 over 2360 days. That's an average of $117,699.20 per year. And another:The channel "Oracle Eyes" is monetized! Since Mar 29, 2014, the channel has generated 198,505,711 views. Assuming all views were monetized from day 1* with an average RPM of $3.00, this channel has generated $595,517.13 over 3416 days. That's an average of $63,631.08 per year. The point is as simple as it is documented. These "recommendations" generate myriad small drops in the enormous ocean of monies collected by a relatively small coterie of people with the non-NATO war between two non-NATO nations as a fine vehicle to get paid -- for videos and the like. The YouTube lingo for such is "content creators." The Ukrainian-Russian war version -- probably on both sides -- is "hero." For being far front the front lines and creating that content. Daily.

This is a problem?
Since I don’t know what the term RPM means, I have guessed Rate Per Million. However when I multiplied 253 million by $3 a click that comes to $759 million, which seems far too large. So, I Googled to find out what youtube is paying per click and here are some figures shown there. Also, what does RPM mean?
