The witness evidence suggests they’re real.
The lack of physical evidence lends credence to Carpenter’s theory.
But from a purely unbiased, scientific perspective I offer no support other than an open mind. Discoveries only result from 3 avenues: Academic, accidental & from researchers with sometimes unconventional theories (at the time).
