The .. (EU) has thrown its support behind Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates’ radical plans “fight global warming” by blocking light from the Sun to lower the temperature on Earth.

.. joining unelected bureaucratic agencies to determine whether .. deflecting the Sun’s rays or changing the Earth’s weather patterns are viable options for “fighting climate change.”

The idea, promoted by Gates and leftist billionaire George Soros, involves pumping manmade white clouds into the atmosphere to reflect sunlight away from the planet’s surface.

Soros claims the technology will help to prevent ice sheets from melting.
Ice sheets melting in Greenland in particular, he claimed, could doom human civilization.

Having gotten away with this so far, the London government announced earlier this year that the ULEZ would be extended beyond the central areas to all London boroughs as of August 29. Most significantly, this would mean that essentially everybody entering this extended area in a gasoline or diesel powered motor vehicle would be charged 12.5 pounds per day — about $15, not an insignificant amount of money.

Actually, essentially nobody, unless the gov't website describing who doesn't have to pay the charge is lying. I looked that up a few months ago.

Cars that meet "EURO 4" emissions standards are said to be exempt from the ULEZ charge. That is every car built since 2005. Sure, there are still pre-2005 models on the road, but many of those can be converted to EURO 4 for not much money.
