They are the hottest peppers.

I grew them and ghosts in my North Carolina garden.

Couldn’t eat them, but they make a good animal and insect repellant.

They are dangerous.

What varietal? Commercially raised a sterile hybrid pepper of a cross of green pepper with Jalapeno. Great flavour, and they had no—zero heat. Branded as “Fooled You!” Good and Foolish Bread and Butter Peppers.

You could take one- red matured looking just like a Jalapeno- and munch down in front of very impressed friends.
Pickled in bread & butter sweet (with a little hot) liquid.
