An agreement emerged in Jeddah "on the fact that respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine must be at the heart of any peace agreement, as well as the primacy of the United Nations Charter". This is what European sources explain at the end of the first day of the summit on negotiations in Ukraine which brings together around 40 countries.

According to the same sources, it was decided to form working groups on the key issues of the ten points for the peace formula proposed by Kiev. "The timing for a meeting of the heads of state is still pending, but before the end of the year it is considered plausible," they explain.

By that logic shouldn’t Putin and Russia get to keep East Germany, since “ what is ours is ours, what is yours is negotiable”

President Reagan killed the Soviet Union. Live with it. It’s not coming back.

They seems to be getting a bit emotional at this point. Perhaps they really are women after all?

There is no logic in this regional war. Fighting down to the last Ukie is an example….fine if the Ukies said this- but not fine when the US politicians stated this. The Ukies are suffering as we speak, Vlad launched another massive missile strike across Ukraine.

There is no doubt when the last Ukie is asked” Was it worth it?”, she will say NO.

The US hands are covered in blood.

Did we respect the territorial integrity of Serbia when the “country” of Kosovo was formed by force?

This war has been going on for since 2014. The US/EU coup of the duly elected government of Ukraine led by Victoria Nuland led to the separatist movement in the Donbas and the unopposed Russian invasion and annexation of Crimea. The Obama/Biden Administration essentially did nothing in response.

The same cast of characters who started this debacle in 2014 are back in charge with the same disastrous results. Biden, Blinken, Nuland, Sullivan, Powers, et. al. , were smarting from Putin’s humiliation of them in 2014. Ukraine is still not a member of NATO and the EU, and now it is a smaller and poorer country in a proxy war it can not win.

If Ukraine had implemented the 2015 Minsk agreement brokered by Germany and France and signed by Ukraine and Russia, the Donbas would still be part of Ukraine. Now it is no longer possible to return to the status quo ante bellum.

We are now in a new Cold War. The war has driven Russia closer to China and a massive global political realignment is underway. Most of the world is ignoring the sanctions against Russia given its indispensable role in providing the global economy with commodities like oil, wheat, fertilizers, minerals, etc.

Ukraine was among the poorest and most corrupt countries in Europe. The war has only made matters worse. Many of the 7 million Ukrainian refugees in Europe and the US are not returning. And the estimated $800 billion to a trillion dollars to rebuild Ukraine will not be forthcoming. Thank you Biden and Victoria Nuland.

"...it was decided to form working groups on the key issues of the ten points for the peace formula proposed by Kiev..."

That is ridiculous and the reasons for that are well known.
