Agreed. The premise of the OP is flawed. What we see now is a govt populated by marxists who, if they live in Red states, profess to be Republican. That's what we have in Oklahoma.

Then they run unopposed and when they get into office, blend into the uniparty where they do maximum damage by .. doing nothing.

Unfortunately for our country, most of the “conservatives” we elect only remain so until they get a whiff of all that money that’s available from the public treasury. Then, it’s either play ball with the establishment (uniparty/deep state) or go home. No one ever really asks or looks into how these people get so rich so quickly.
