Do you not have to claim the prize in the state where the ticket was purchased?
BTW, the best advice I’ve seen for lottery winners is to buy a RV and spend six months travelling and thinking about what you want to do. It takes that long for winning to sink in and for you to realize the choices you do have. IOW, don’t run out and buy that new chevy truck and that 2000 square foot house you’ve been lusting after. Think about what it means to have $400 million. And, btw, tell your relatives that you’ll think about financing their dreams. Think about it and then move far, far away.
I wouldn’t be buying anything expensive immediately. The only immediate change would be my new lack of employment.
I’d go melt in Kona, HI for a year.
Eating healthy, exercising, and sleeping in.
Someone needs to keep an eye on the horizon for the green flash…
I’d have to cash it in just to buy the motorhome!
