As to your question, I’m not a religious scholar by any means, but it seems like to me, if you earn your way into a ‘Heaven’ then you should be allowed to have any pet you want, as long as they didn’t earn their own way into a ‘hell’.
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Romans 4:16)
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. (Matt 5:48)
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12)
