Megan Rapinoe has been accused of leading the US team's snub of the national anthem ©Getty Images Megan Rapinoe has been accused of leading a "shameful" snub of the American national anthem at the FIFA Women's World Cup which is currently being held in Australia and New Zealand.
The majority of the defending champions' line-up has refused to sing the anthem in their group stage matches against Vietnam, The Netherlands, and Portugal.
"Megan Rapinoe, she's the leader of all this," journalist Megyn Kelly said on her eponymous podcast.
"She's not a starter.
"So that's why she's not on camera when they're doing the national anthem, but she's behind a lot of this.
"She's (Rapinoe) poisoned the entire team against the country for which they play.
"I don't know about you, but I'm not rooting for them.

A lot of people aren’t.
I wasn’t a soccer fan to begin with, this bunch didn’t change that.
In the meantime, I'm still supporting the men's national team.
Do we still have yardarms?
So Sunday morning they play one the best teams in the WC, Sweden. If the US wins then they go on play the best team, Japan. Good luck to those teams playing our supposed one so the US women won’t be upset by hearing our anthem anymore in this contest.

I have never been a soccer fan. Never will be. It bores me to tears.

Women. It's easy to manipulate them. Rapinoe probably told them straight up so they're probably afraid of her.
It’s not just her. Somebody in team management kept her there instead of booting her poisonous tail years ago.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Biden Administration told the team to keep Rapinoe because they get to score some political points with the LGBTQ base.
A lot of weak-minded individuals, if one purple-haired, hatched-faced backup women’s soccer player can make them turn against their own country.
Good point. If you watch the video, when they get to the end of the line I know there is at least one player that is singing along.
On that note, as much as I despise Rapinoe, I’m not really seeing the issue here. The Anthem is played every time there’s a sporting event I don’t see many folks singing it. And when I do, the very large majority of the time, it’s a white athlete.
Does Kelly actually have a source, or is it speculation?
Why isn’t the team’s roster filled with the trans-women?
Can someone explain to me why, if she hates this country, she would except it’s Medal of Freedom?
