Vegan food maker Beyond Meat has seen its sales crash by almost a third as consumers reject its hyper-processed, plant-based products despite substantial price cuts and claims its customers can “positively affect the planet.”
The El Segundo, California-based meat substitute maker says net revenues fell by 30.5 percent for the three months to the end of June, compared to a year earlier, while shares of the company fell by almost 12 percent in extended trading in New York.
There was a time at Sams Club they stocked so many fake meat products it took up a lot of freezer space. Beyond Meat was one but Jimmy Dean meatless products were so abundant and regular JD things people liked were short stocked. It finally leveled out and I don’t really see JD fake stuff anymore, thank goodness. There is BM but much less. They either thought we all were clamoring for meatless food or were trying to force us to eat that crap. In this Texas Sams it didn’t work.
